YEAR ASSOCIATE
MEMBERSHIP CONTRACT
The Southern Kane
County Training Association (SKCTA) is
a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) which
provides quality training education classes
for firefighters throughout the state
of Illinois. Memberships are
being accepted for the new, enhanced training
site at 300 Butterfield Rd., in North Aurora.
Associate memberships are available and
being offered to all Illinois Fire Service
Departments/Districts.
By becoming an Associate Member, the joining
department will have the opportunity to
take advantage of numerous benefits at
no additional charge. (see Member Privileges)
By signing this agreement, the referenced
Department/District agrees to the terms
of a 5-year commitment, locking in pricing
for that term, plus taking advantage of
an additional 2.5% class discount above
the 2007 yearly percent, taking it to 12.5%.
Membership term begins upon receipt of
initial payment to SKCTA and subsequent
payments are due on the anniversary date
of membership.
Early Withdrawal: In accordance with
the 5-year agreement, discounts on yearly
increased pricing adjustments were applied
to the membership pricing. In the
event the Department/District elects to
opt out of this agreement before the 5-year
term, the Department/District agrees to
pay SKCTA the cost savings between the
discounted membership fees and actual yearly
membership fees (without locked-in pricing)
for the years utilized.
If voluntarily
withdrawing from membership, the Department/District
must provide a 30-day written notice
of cancellation. (See Notice of Withdrawal
from Membership form) Once received,
the withdrawal date will be confirmed
in writing. In
addition, all class discounts will cease
on the agreed upon withdrawal date.
SKCTA has the right
to terminate this agreement at any time,
for any reason. Termination
penalties may apply and would be subtracted
from any refund of membership fees due. |
